Qlik Application Automation provides an easy-to-use visual layer to what is essentially a compiled script that makes API calls. So now, instead of needing to write API calls through the qlik-cli to push a Qlik app up to Github, you can much more easily create an "Automation" to do it for you. You can set "triggers" so the App pushes automatically based on your criteria, and even configure the Automation to create a new Github repo if one does not exist already.

In this live webinar, we will only be covering a single Automation, but the usefulness of Application Automations goes far beyond this one use case. Our intent is to give you all the information, resources, and confidence you need to go out and start creating your own Automations.

Application Automation is only available in the SaaS version of Qlik Sense, but are available to both Analyzer and Professional users. And because they are incredibly powerful and relatively easy to set up , the only things really required to use them are a basic familiarity with Qlik and the desire to solve a problem.
